myOSL Chip
myOSLchip, made by Freiberg Instruments in collaboration with RadPro International, is a handheld OSL reader that can be used to read and erase compatible dosimeters by simply inserting the dosimeter into the dedicated slot and turning the knob to the read or erase position. The internal Data Matrix scanner identifies the individual ID code of the inserted dosimeter and stores the acquired data in an internal memory. In addition, the myOSLchip is equipped with a touch display that enables stand-alone measurements without a PC connection.
The dosimeters, made of beryllium oxide (BeO), an equivalent tissue material, can be used for medical dosimetry, quality control of radiation treatment plans, research, PCB dosimetry, device control, and many other applications. In fact, the small size allows easy handling in different situations while maintaining the reliability of BeO.
